Preliminary information on the Crossout update 0.10.30

Survivors!

Next Thursday, on February 28, we plan to update Crossout to version 0.10.30. We invite everyone to take a look at what the upcoming update is preparing for us!

We remind you that all the new features described in this news are not final and may be changed before they are introduced into the game or may not make it into the game at all.

Earlier we have already announced that leagues will appear in clan battles, and survivors will be able to receive uranium ore for victories in battles. The amount of uranium ore you get will depend on which league your clan is in at the moment.

In addition, due to the change in the battle format to “Best of 3”, we plan to increase the amount of scrap metal received after the battle.

The weekly mission for 10 victories in clan battles will be changed in accordance with the new format. Now to complete the mission it will be enough to win 5 victories in clan battles.

And that's not all the changes regarding clan battles! We plan to add the role of the deputy clan leader, who will be able to consider clan applications, accept and exclude players and change the rules for accepting applications and the message of the day. Also, we are adding the option to change the clan's name and tag for in-game coins.

With this update, we are planning to add three new weapons of relic rarity to the game: the “Punisher” machine gun already familiar to many, as well as the “Breaker” shotgun and the “CC-18 Typhoon” course gun. The weapon parameters and their unique perks are still being developed. You can see the final values in the update description.

It's happening! The speedometer is expected to appear in Crossout 0.10.30! We note in advance that it will function in test mode, and its appearance will be as simple as possible. In the future, improvements are possible both in their functionality and in appearance.

Very soon, “Custom battle” will be open for everyone! Now, each survivor can start a lobby, invite other survivors, choose a game mode (missions, raids, brawls), a map and go into battle! You can train, work through raid tactics, or have a demonstration battle, thanks to the spectator addition feature. In future updates, we are planning a number of additional changes and improvements for this mode, which we will discuss in future news articles.

In update 0.10.30, we also plan to make a number of changes to the new challenge and patch system. We have taken into account the wishes of many players and are ready to offer an updated version:

  • We plan to remove the mechanic of sequential unlocking of challenges from the subsections “Missions” and “Raids”. Now players can complete challenges from these subsections in any order.
  • Kill assists will also count towards tasks for the destruction of enemies in missions and raids. Requirements for the number of enemies destroyed will be proportionally increased.

Attention! Due to the change of mechanics, the unfinished progress in obtaining patches associated with the destruction of enemies will be reset. Only progress of not yet received patches is subject to reset! The already earned patches will not be reset.

  • We plan to add two additional settings for adjusting the transparency of banners and the map displayed by pressing the “Tab” key. Now you can adjust the transparency of the banners so that they do not block your view when using the map.
  • In the challenge “Nomad hunt: Veteran”, the task for 5 victories in the “Race” is going to be replaced by the task for 5 first places by scored points in the raid. If the “MVP” task has already been completed before the update, the new “Champion” task will also automatically be considered as completed. Partial progress of the task “MVP” is not transferred.

Let's move on to balance changes:

“Icebox” cabin

  • We plan to slightly increase the bonus from the cabin's unique feature.

Developer Comment: At the moment, the unique feature of the “Icebox” is ineffective compared to the perks of other cabins of epic rarity. The change will improve the efficiency of the cabin in crafts with weapons with limited angles.

‘Lancelot’ explosives

  • We plan to modify the unique feature of “Lancelot” explosives. Now additional damage from a spear blast will depend on the speed of the armoured vehicle at the time of the collision. The higher the speed, the higher the damage will be.

Developer comment: In our opinion, the current unique feature of the spear does not bring diversity to the gameplay. In most cases, it all comes down to moving around the base to charge the perk and increase damage. A new unique feature will allow diversifying the gameplay with “Lancelot” because now damage will depend on the ability to maintain speed and manoeuvre.

Auger “Meat Grinder”

  • We plan to increase the movement speed of the augers and the damage they deal.

Developer Comment: The current efficiency of the augers is fairly low. This is largely due to the low damage and the complexity of its application due to the low speed of movement. Changes are intended to correct these shortcomings.

Hovers ”Icarus IV” and “Icarus VII”

  • We plan to slightly reduce the durability of the hovers “Icarus IV” and “Icarus VII”.

Developer comment: At the moment, the efficiency of hovers is still overvalued at low PS rates. A small decrease in durability will allow equating hovers with other movement parts at low PS, while on high PS, a decrease in durability is compensated for by the possibility of installing a larger number of hovers.

Engine “Golden Eagle”

  • We plan to change the unique feature of the engine “Golden Eagle”. Now the engine will increase the maximum speed of the tracks and augers by 10%.

Developer comment: At the moment, the unique feature of the "Golden Eagle" is in little demand. We decided to change it so that this engine would better meet the needs of heavy armoured vehicles.

Radar “Oculus VI”

  • We plan to increase the radius of the radar “Oculus VI”.

Developer comment: The current range of the “Oculus” is not enough to fight invisible enemies. Often, due to their high speed, players with a radar do not have enough time to respond. Increasing the detection range of invisible enemies will fix this. In the future, we plan to discuss additional changes for this radar.

The names and descriptions of a number of parts are planned to be revised. Soon we will launch a blog where we will talk about the reasons for renaming and answer your questions.

Another option expected by many players will appear in the update — the option to hide messages from the general chat that contain links to exhibition blueprints.

In addition to all of the above, we also plan to refine a number of sounds and visual effects and fix many known bugs.

We remind you that all the new features described in this news are not final and may be changed before they are introduced into the game or may not make it into the game at all.
