An excerpt from the by research agent Grigio “On smaller cults.”. The document has been assigned the BRRB-2 identifier and the “Munch's background” tag.
"…The group of survivors living in the caves was a real religious community with a living leader instead of an idol. His personal lodgings look better than others even after the looters, there is even a broken smokeless heater.
In one of the caches, I found an unknown woman's belongings — scarce clothing and writing materials. There was also something like a diary, more reminiscent of the acts of a saint. The Supreme, the Faithful (the author of the diary) and a certain “boy” were described particularly emotionally in the manuscript. The latter was the unloved son of the Supreme from the first wife and poisoned the life of the Faithful with his existence.
The Faithful hated the child and dreamed of getting rid of him, but the boy loved her: “He hangs on my neck like a hated yoke, but instead of ropes I feel his little hands clinging to me”.
The cult suffered from the local raiders, but the Supreme managed to establish a shaky peace, the key to which was his son, who was turned over to the enemies. The Faithful describes those days with glee.
It is terrible to imagine what the child was thinking, betrayed by his beloved family. What is even sadder, this betrayal did not save the cult's members from death — they were all killed by Firestarters during a local cleansing.
The diary also mentions a toy hinting at Munch's personality: “I gave him a wooden hare, which the Supreme brought back from a campaign. Now, this parasite never lets go of it. While the Supreme is fighting for us, the spawn of a dead mongrel eats his bread! ".
The uncovered clues confirmed the information received from the inhabitants of the Rocks. Munch is the son of a cult leader, surrendered to raiders by his own father against his will. The diary indirectly explains even his well-known habit of carving wooden figurines and ingeniously destroying them.
It is unknown how the events experienced by Munch will turn out in the future”.
