Lewis
We continue to introduce survivors to inhabitants of the Wasteland. This time we're going to tell you the story of Lewis.
Completely mad. Often speaks in rhymes. Looks like the Mad Hatter from ‘Alice in Wonderland’, named after Lewis Carroll.
Not too many years have passed since the disaster, but people are already forgetting some rites and things. Take, for example, tricks. Lewis is a total expert at these. He literally cut his teeth on that and taught himself all sorts of tricks that people used to play before the disaster, using flimsy and warped pictures. He started talking funny, as if he saw something not normally seen with the naked eye. Turns out the Lunatics are really into his art, and now he often performs for them. Like a guest artist of sorts.
Just the other day he had a show, some simple card guessing tricks. They were all the same in the deck though, but that's probably how it works with them magicians — they know what they're going to choose in advance. Threw a couple of knives at someone while blindfolded too. And his trademark trick drew the biggest crowd! Everyone wanted to see how Lewis saws a man in a box. They spend two days wiping off the blood, but it never really came off.
And they say life used to be better...
