Map survey results and comments from the team
Hello, survivors!
Today we would like to share with you the results of a survey about the in-game maps that ended on November 11.
We remind you that from November 9 to 11, we conducted an in-game poll to find out your thoughts and preferences when it comes to new maps. What is more important to you: the unusual appearance of the environment or the new game elements and mechanics, unique to a certain location? Let’s take a look at what the majority of players voted for:
What is more important for you when it comes to new maps? Select one answer:
- A location in a new, unusual setting (environment). A priority for the unusual visuals of the environment — 41.4%
- The presence of elements that create new game situations. Unusual Gameplay Priority — 58.6%
Regardless of the first answer, choose the setting you would like most to see implemented in Crossout:
- Forests / jungle — 36.12%
- Battles in enclosed spaces (enclosed multi-level factories/plants) — 20.73%
- Snow-covered locations — 43.15%
The results of the survey do not mean that from now on we will only work on unusual environments or only on unusual game situations when developing new locations. Both of these aspects are important in their own way, but now we know what you would like to see more often, and we will try to pay extra attention to this point in the future.
We would also like to comment on the majority’s choice in favour of a snow setting. Previously, we had already discussed all the options available in this survey within the team, as these ideas were the ones that came up most frequently in your suggestions regarding new maps. We believed that the game could definitely use more snow-covered locations, and we're happy to see that the majority of players feel the same way.
In the foreseeable future, we plan to discuss the variations of new locations, as well as possible technical issues and ways to solve them. Yes, it may take quite some time, but we have marked the beginning together! We will share the latest news as it becomes available.
Thank you for taking part in this survey!
