Radio “Voice of the Wasteland”
I am the terror that flaps in the night! I am the popcorn kernel that gets stuck in your teeth! I am Alex Murch, leading the watch specifically for the “Voice of the Wasteland” text radio.
More of our guests have arrived. They seem to be gearing up for something big. An attack, perhaps? Judging by the line of provisions, equipment, weapons and spare parts for armoured vehicles arriving, more than one hundred aliens are planning to arrive here. According to my estimates, it’ll take them at least a week just to sort out everything that has arrived. And what will happen next — only the Emperor knows.
Oh, don’t you know the legend of the Emperor? All right, I’ll tell you. But not today.
Today we have:
- Checking cameras near the “Plateau, already occupied by a group of strangers” (user choice);
- Last episode’s top comment.
And we'll start from the end. The comment, spelling and punctuation preserved, looks like this:
“So Elon’s wheels have arrived”
And what can I say? That you are strange people! You posted the comment, but forgot to explain it. I had to buy out some old magazine from Scar AB, in which both this Elon and the wheels were mentioned in one sentence. And I could’ve just read in the commentary and at least understand what I captured:
Elon’s wheel or, as it is sometimes called, the “Swedish” wheel is a rolling-based wheel that allows transport to move in any direction. It got its name from the Swedish inventor Bengt Ilon, who created it. The idea to create such a wheel came to him in 1973, when he worked as an engineer in the Swedish company “Mecanum AB”.
Now I know that those guys will not only be armed, but also equipped with very cool things. So I’ve walked around the markets and heard so much: about both the new gun, and about these wheels (there I was able to show off my knowledge from magazines, however, I immediately stopped when asked about characteristics), and about wheels with negative camber (I will call them “angular”), and about a small, but quite interesting cabin. But I suppose you heard all this yourself. But what you didn’t hear and see is the next shot which I waited for sixteen hours in a row.
Everything was so boring that I wanted to break my promise and check the cameras in another place, I really wanted to shoot something new... And I have to be on the front lines of news and rumors! And so, towards one of the cameras, IT appeared. Undertrailer - supertruck! I don’t know how, I don’t know when, but I’ll get it! After all, this is an almost ready-made mobile radio broadcasting station, just drag the equipment into the back, put the printer... Where was I? Oh yes, the picture:
While I dream of changing the scenery, you answer the question: “Well, survivors. What are we going to observe this week?”
- Road to the mountain in the south;
- Road to the mountain in the east;
- Plateau, already occupied by a group of strangers;
- Anything at all;
- My own pantry.
