Factions
-
Engineers
The Engineers are your primary helpers in the Wastelands. They teach newcomers how to control various armored vehicles, from small jeeps to massive tanks, and supply them with various parts and weapons. This faction can’t exactly brag about their hi-tech gear, but they’ll never leave a player in the lurch. The doors to the Engineers’ garage are always open to anyone who wants to use their workbenches or ask them for advice.
-
Lunatics
The Lunatics rely on their superior numbers and try to smash their opponents in melee combat. Their arsenal includes all manner of melee weapons, from spears to combines. This faction prefers to ambush survivors who stray from their comrades.
-
Nomads
The Nomads bet on hitting their enemies from afar. Their vehicles are fast and maneuverable, and they’re also equipped with hi-tech gear such as drones and cloaking devices. You can’t even trust your own eyes when fighting them.
-
Scavengers
The Scavengers prefer powerful, heavy armored vehicles. Ranged combat is their forte, and they craft massive, clunky cannons and grenade launchers just for that purpose.
-
Steppenwolfs
The Steppenwolves rely on tactics and military discipline. They wield especially powerful howitzers and advanced automatic weapons. You can’t exactly call their vehicles maneuverable, but they have no need for maneuverability. The Steppenwolves have no patience for chaos on the battlefield—everything they do is painstakingly planned, and the position of every team member is fixed in advance.
-
Dawn Children
The Dawn’s Children prefer high technology. Their hovering vehicles can float above the ground and move from one end of the field to another with incredible speed. Their plasma cannons are perfect for those who like to fight at medium range. This faction’s astonishing technology can be deadly in the hands of a skilled survivor.
-
Firestarters
Wielding fire and destruction is the favorite pastime of the elite shaman of the Firestarters. This faction can provide survivors with flamethrowers that are perfect for close combat, as well as long-range catapults that fire barrels stuffed with an incendiary compound. In addition to weapons, players will also get a kick out of the Skinner harpoon. Its wielder can use it to attack a cable to enemy or allied vehicles or even parts of the surrounding landscape.
-
Founders
United and influential group formed by former employees of a special vehicles factory. Thanks to their experience in building machines and access to advanced equipment, the Founders learned to build some of the best armoured vehicles in the Wasteland. Having realized their strength, they began to dictate their terms to everyone until they encountered a fierce resistance. The Founders didn’t want to play by anyone else’s rules and left the Valley. They left, but they promised to come back.
-
Syndicate
Deadly, technologically advanced and fast — this is how the rest of the Valley residents describe the members of the «Neon Dragon» Syndicate. They strongly differ from other factions by their bright and laconic oriental style. Before Crossout, the «dragons» were part of a powerful Pan-Asian corporation. Thanks to this legacy, the Syndicate managed to build a new cybernetic empire on the remains of civilization and continued to influence the fate of the world.

Hyperborea
Harsh and cold, just like their land, the inhabitants of the north have been defending their right to live every day since ancient times, fighting hunger, snow and their neighbours. Such conditions have tremendously hardened these people, and Crossout has united them even more. From a bunch of tribes, the northerners have turned into a monolithic and efficient society, where everyone knows their role takes pride in it. But soon the north became too small for Hyperborea. Fortunately, a true leader, who was able to direct this iceberg in the right direction, has appeared in their ranks.
